Transit injection nozzle issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Ford Transit with a gasoline engine is experiencing poor starting, excessive fuel consumption, weak power, rough idling, and occasional stalling, potentially due to an injection nozzle issue. The symptoms, including a noticeable gasoline smell, suggest a faulty injector. A professional diagnosis confirmed the defective injector, and replacing it resolved the issues, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Yeah, I do smell more gasoline than usual. Error codes... I haven't checked those yet. Misfires, huh? How did you figure out it was the injector valve? And how did you fix it?

Well, the gasoline smell was a big clue, plus the computer was throwing codes related to emissions. I tried some fuel injector cleaner, but it didn't fully solve the problem. In the end, I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a faulty injector. Honestly, with those symptoms, especially the stalling, I'd get it checked by a professional. Could save you a lot of headaches and potential damage.

Thanks for the advice! I'll get it to a shop. Turns out it was indeed a defective injector nozzle. They replaced it, and the total cost was 515€. Runs like new now!

I know that feeling! I had a similar issue with my Transit, though I have the diesel version. Rough idling, poor starts... It was driving me nuts! Have you checked for any error codes? Could be a dirty injector valve causing misfires. Are you smelling gasoline more than usual?
