Transit Outside Temp Sensor Fault

My 2011 Ford Transit, gasoline engine, has a dodgy outside temp sensor. Error code's stored, AC won't kick in, spray nozzles froze solid last winter, and the mirrors are always heated. I suspect a bad connection.

Summary of the thread

A 2011 Ford Transit had a faulty outside temperature sensor, causing the AC to malfunction and mirrors to remain heated. The issue was suspected to be a bad connection. After checking the wiring and connectors, the problem was confirmed to be a bad connection, which was resolved by a workshop.

Sounds like a PITA! Have you checked the wiring loom and plug to the sensor itself? Those Ford connectors can be pretty flimsy and prone to corrosion. Where is the vehicle temperature sensor located in your model?

Connector looks okay, but I haven't tested for continuity. I'm not sure exactly where the sensor is located. Any clues where to find the vehicle temperature sensor?

Yeah, testing for continuity is the next step. As for location, it should be behind the front bumper, near the radiator. If the wiring is all good, honestly, at that point, it is probably worth biting the bullet and letting a workshop have a look, they will be able to diagnose the issue much faster.

Yep, wiring looked fine. Took it to the shop. Bad connection it was. 95€ later, all fixed. Thanks!
