Transit Tailgate Hall Sensor Fault

I own a 2023 Ford Transit with an electric engine. The tailgate exhibits a hall sensor fault. The error is stored in memory, and the tailgate only opens partially. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection.

Hall sensor fault on the tailgate, eh? Sounds like a pain! Have you checked the sensor wiring for any obvious damage or corrosion? A simple visual inspection can sometimes reveal the culprit.

I did a cursory check, but could you elaborate on specific points to inspect beyond the obvious?

Yeah, those gremlins are sneaky. Since you've glanced at the wiring, I'd say it's time to have a workshop take a look. Could save you a headache in the long run. Could be the tailgate motor.

Understood. Thank you for the advice. The workshop confirmed the issue as a defective plug connection. Repair cost 95€.
