Transit Windshield Washer Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Ford Transit with an electric engine is experiencing issues with the windshield washer heater, leading to frozen spray nozzles in cold weather. The problem is indicated by an error stored in the error memory. Possible causes include a blown fuse or defective cable or plug connection to the heating element, such as a corroded connector. Checking the fuse is suggested, but professional diagnosis and repair may be necessary.

Good call on the fuse! I'll check that out. But if it's not the fuse, any thoughts on what else it could be? I'm not super familiar with the electrical side of things.

Yeah, if it's not the fuse, honestly, you're probably looking at a defective cable or plug connection to the heating element itself. I spent hours trying to figure it out, and in the end I had to take it to the shop. Turned out to be a corroded connector. Best to let them diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it. I'll check the fuse, but it sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. They quoted me about 95€ for the repair, so hopefully that will be the end of it.

Oh man, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Transit. Is the washer motor making any noise at all? It could be a blown fuse, happened to me once. Check your fuse box diagram and see if there's a separate fuse for the washer heater.
