Transmission and Electrical Issues with Seat Ibiza

Hello everyone, I'm experiencing some issues with my Seat Ibiza. The automatic transmission is not shifting as it usually does. Additionally, there's an electrical problem where the TCU is not communicating, and the brake lights are stuck on. The system indicates a cruise brake switch malfunction, but I've already replaced the brake switch, and it hasn't resolved the issue. Has anyone encountered similar problems or have any advice on what might be causing these issues and how to fix them? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Summary of the thread

A Seat Ibiza is experiencing issues with its automatic transmission not shifting properly and an electrical problem where the TCU is not communicating, alongside brake lights being stuck on. Despite replacing the brake switch, the issue persists, with a system indication of a cruise brake switch malfunction. A suggested solution is to check the brake light fuse and related wiring for damage or loose connections, as these could affect both the brake lights and TCU communication.

Check the brake light fuse and related wiring for any damage or loose connections. A faulty fuse or wiring issue could cause the brake lights to stay on and affect the TCU communication. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.
