Transmission indicator light comes on during cold start

Hi everyone, my Audi A7 has been displaying the error message "Transmission system malfunction continued driving possible" when starting cold for some time now. As soon as the engine is warm, the message disappears by itself. A readout reveals a problem with the cooling oil valve (electrical fault). The engine runs as usual and the transmission shifts normally. The transmission oil intervals have always been maintained by Audi. Does anyone have any idea what exactly this could be? I recently changed the battery, could it be because I haven't registered it yet? The error has been occurring since the battery change. Kind regards.

Summary of the thread

The Audi A7 displays a "Transmission system malfunction" error during cold starts, which disappears once the engine warms up. The issue is linked to an electrical fault with the cooling oil valve. The problem began after a battery change, which hasn't been registered with the vehicle's system. Registering the new battery may resolve the electrical issues and eliminate the error message.

It's possible that the unregistered battery change is causing electrical issues, including the error message you're seeing. I recommend registering the new battery with your vehicle's system to ensure all electrical components are functioning correctly. This might resolve the issue. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions!
