Transport Mode Active on Clubman
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mini Clubman diesel displayed 'transport mode active' on the dashboard, causing the navigation system to be non-functional and other electrical issues. This mode is typically used for new vehicles during transport and should be deactivated during pre-delivery inspection. The problem was resolved by performing a diagnostic check at a workshop, confirming the car was mistakenly left in transport mode, and deactivating it.

Re-sync the key fob? How exactly would I do that? And could a faulty sensor cause the navigation to go offline completely?

Yes, it definitely sounds like transport mode if you're seeing those symptoms. The dealer sometimes forgets to deactivate it during pre-delivery inspection. As for the key fob, it's unlikely to cause complete nav failure. Best bet is a diagnostic check with proper automotive diagnostic tools to confirm and disable transport mode. Should be a quick fix at the workshop.

Just wanted to follow up on this. Turns out the dealer had indeed left it in transport mode. A quick diagnostic check at the workshop sorted it. Everything's back to normal. Thanks for the help!

Transport mode active on a Clubman with that kind of mileage? That's unusual, since you mentioned it's not a new vehicle. Are you absolutely certain it's transport mode and not some other car electronics glitch? Have you tried a simple key fob re-sync to the system? It sounds like a communication error somewhere in the CAN bus.
