Transport mode error and function failure in Seat Leon 2016: experiences and solutions wanted

Hello folks. My Seat Leon from 2016, gasoline engine with approx. 89217 km mileage, is worrying me right now. Some functions have failed, the warning light in the speedometer is on and there are errors stored. I suspect that the transport mode in the vehicle could be active. Have any of you ever had a similar problem and can tell me what caused it and how the garage fixed it? Unfortunately, I haven't had a good experience with my garage recently and would like to be up to speed before I go back. Thanks in advance for your help and experience!

Summary of the thread

A Seat Leon 2016 owner is experiencing function failures and warning lights, suspecting the transport mode might be active. Another driver with a similar issue in a Seat Ibiza found that deactivating the transport mode resolved the problem. The solution involved resetting the system, which was not costly, and the issue did not recur. This suggests that the problem might be easily fixable by addressing the transport mode setting.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hi, I drive a Seat Ibiza from 2019 and had a similar problem. I also had several functions fail and the warning lights were permanently on. In fact, at my garage they found out that it was the transport mode that was still activated. So, they had to reset the system and then everything was back to normal. It wasn't a very serious problem, but it's annoying when you don't know what's wrong, right? Hopefully this helps you and you can solve the problem easily.

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! Your experience sounds exactly like my current problem with my Leon. Glad to hear it wasn't a serious problem for you. Do you happen to remember what the garage charged to reset the system? And did the problem recur afterwards or was that it? Would appreciate an answer, thanks in advance!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help! Well, I haven't had the same problem since the workshop visit. They deactivated the transport mode in my car and everything went back to normal. They charged me €45 for resetting the system and eliminating the "car was jump-started" problem. I found that quite acceptable. Hope this helps you with your visit to the garage! Good luck with your Leon!

Thanks for the information! It really reassures me to know that it could be nothing serious and that the repair is not too expensive. I hope it's the same with my Leon. Your experience is a great help to me. Wish you continued trouble-free driving with your Ibiza. See you then!
