The whistling noise and the check engine light appeared around the same time. Could you be more specific about which cable and plug connections I should be inspecting? Is there anything in particular to look for?

Yes, the timing sounds about right. I just checked the sensor's connection and gave it a wiggle. The problem was solved for me by taking it to a workshop. The error was indeed the cable and plug connection. They fixed it quickly. I wouldn't drive too much with reduced engine power.

I will take your advice and bring it to a workshop. The error code pointed towards the same issue: cable or plug connection. The final repair cost was 95€. Thanks again for your help!

I had a similar issue with my Traveller recently. Check the cable and plug connection of the charge air temperature sensor. That's where I would start looking. Was the whistling noise present before the check engine light came on?
