Traveller diesel high pressure fuel pump failure
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Peugeot Traveller diesel with 249,987 km is experiencing issues with the check engine light, engine stalling at idle, and reduced power. Diagnostics indicate a problem with the fuel volume regulator and high-pressure fuel pump. A similar case suggested checking the fuel filter first, but ultimately, the high-pressure fuel pump was identified as the root cause and replacing it resolved the issues.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestion about the fuel filter, but it was recently replaced. Could you share more about your situation? Did the check engine light come on, and were there diagnostic codes? Any insights would be great.

Yep, check engine light was on, same symptoms. Honestly, after chasing a few possibilities, it turned out to be the high-pressure fuel pump. Just get it checked at a workshop. Will save you time and nerves.

I took your suggestion and brought it to my local shop. They confirmed the high-pressure pump was the problem, and after replacing it for 1510€, everything seems to be running smoothly again. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I have a Traveller too. Sounds familiar. I had similar issues a while back - stalling and loss of power. Have you checked the fuel filter? Could be worth a shot before you start tearing into the high-pressure pump.
