Traveller diesel throttle valve issue

Thanks for the reply. Engine sound is normal, I think. Performance-wise, it feels a little sluggish but nothing major, like when I accelerate. You mentioned the throttle position sensor. Is it difficult to check or replace it?

I understand. Considering your observations, it's plausible that a defective accelerator pedal module is at fault; these are known to cause such issues. However, without diagnostic equipment, pinpointing the precise cause can be challenging. I recommend a workshop visit, as they can test the throttle valve and sensor. It might save you time and money in the long run.

Okay, thank you for your help. I took it to a workshop. The throttle valve was indeed defective. Repair cost 205€. Now it's running smoothly again. Fuel efficiency is back to normal, and it starts perfectly.

Good day. Elevated fuel consumption and poor starting can indeed point to issues within the air intake system. The throttle valve's function is pivotal in regulating air supply to the engine, and its malfunction could certainly produce these symptoms. Have you noticed any change in engine sound or performance when accelerating? A faulty throttle position sensor could also contribute to this.
