Thanks! I hadn't considered the coolant temperature sensor. Where exactly is that located? Is it difficult to reach and check?

That sounds concerning. I had a similar problem with my previous vehicle, though it wasn't a Peugeot. Have you checked the fan's relay and the coolant temperature sensor? Sometimes, those cause fan malfunctions.
