Traveller Lean Running Engine

Fuel consumption seems a bit higher, but the spark plugs were replaced 20000 km ago. I used the plugs specified and checked the gap. An air leak in the intake manifold is interesting – is there a common leak area on the Traveller? Did replacing the injectors fix the issue, or were there other problems?

Okay, spark plugs are probably not the issue. My symptoms were almost identical: check engine light, rough running, and power loss. It was a faulty injector. I recommend visiting a trusted workshop to check the injectors and replace any defective ones. Replacing the injector solved the problem for me.

Thanks for the guidance! I went to a workshop, and they found the injection valve was the problem. The repair, including parts and labor, cost 515€. Thanks for sharing your expertise and saving me from a long diagnostic process!

That sounds familiar! I had a similar experience with my Traveller – though I don't remember the exact year. Did you notice any unusual fuel consumption? A lean running condition could point to the fuel injectors, but what about the spark plugs? Are they new, the correct type, and properly gapped? Could there be an air leak in the intake manifold? Or a faulty oxygen sensor? These vans are usually reliable.
