Traveller Windshield Wipers Not Working

Windshield wipers on my 2021 electric Peugeot Traveller have stopped working. Fuses are fine, and there's an error stored, but I can't read it. Could a defective cable or plug connection cause this?

Electrical gremlins are always fun. Since you've checked the fuses, it could be a wiring issue or the wiper switch itself. Any issues with the turn signals or anything else on the steering column?

Sometimes the turn signal feels a little loose. Could the wiper switch and turn signal be related? Is it possible to fix the cable or plug connection myself, or do I need special tools?

Yep, they're definitely related, as both are connected to the steering column. While you could try fixing the connection yourself, messing with the steering column isn't recommended unless you really know what you're doing. You could accidentally trigger the airbag or mess something else up. Honestly, for 95€, it’s probably worth getting a professional to take a look and ensure everything is safe and working correctly. Better safe than sorry!

Thanks for the advice! You're right, messing with the steering column seems risky. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection in the steering column, just as you suspected. They fixed it for 95€, and now the wipers are working perfectly again!
