Thanks! I haven't checked the brake switch. I don't even know where it is. Is the switch easy to check, or should I just get brake diagnostics?

I'm no expert, but mine was more complicated than a simple switch. I'd recommend a workshop look at it. It could save you time and money.

I had something similar happen with my Traverse. Same symptoms – light, error, handbrake not engaging. It was a pain. Did you check the brake switch? Or maybe it's a system glitch?
