Traverse outside temperature reading issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Chevy Traverse experienced issues with the outside temperature reading, affecting the AC, windshield sprayers, and heated mirrors. The problem was suspected to be a faulty outside temperature sensor. Upon inspection, corrosion in the sensor's connector was identified as the cause. Replacing the sensor and corroded connector resolved the issues.

Yeah, I gave the plug a look, seemed okay at first glance. But what exactly did you find on your Volvo? Was it visibly corroded, or did you need to do some deeper digging with a multimeter?

Okay, on my Volvo, the connector looked fine initially too, but after unplugging it and taking a closer look, there was corrosion inside the connector. I think you should take it to a shop, they can measure and replace if needed.

Thanks a bunch! You were spot on. Took it to a shop, they confirmed it was the sensor and replaced it plus the corroded connector. Cost me 95€, but everything's working perfectly now. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! Had a similar problem with my old Volvo V70. Different brand, I know, but same symptoms: weird temp readings, AC refusing to work, and other seemingly unrelated systems acting up. Did you check the sensor's wiring and connections? That was the culprit in my case.
