Trax ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Trax owner reported issues with the tire pressure warning, ABS light, and steering wheel vibration, suspecting a bad tire valve. While a faulty tire valve could explain the low-pressure warning, it seemed unlikely to cause all the other issues. A scan revealed a defective tire sensor, and replacing it resolved the tire pressure warning, ABS light, and power steering problem.

I haven't scanned for DTCs beyond the tire pressure indication. Could additional DTCs explain the tire pressure warning, ABS light, steering wheel vibration, and power steering issue? Can one failing sensor cause so many error messages?

It's possible, however improbable. A faulty wheel speed sensor could trigger ABS and power steering issues. But a defective tire valve leading to all this? I'm skeptical. A thorough scan is vital before condemning any parts, then take your car to a trusted mechanic.

I scanned the vehicle, and it showed a defective tire sensor. Replacing it and the valve fixed the tire pressure warning and also turned off the ABS light and restored the power steering. The total cost was 280€. Thanks for the advice.

Interesting symptoms. A faulty tire valve could cause the low-pressure warning, but all those other issues at once seems unlikely. Have you scanned the car for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) besides the tire pressure sensor?
