Speedometer was indeed acting up. As for transmission, I didn't notice anything unusual. What was the cause in your case?

Yep, sounds exactly like what I went through. For me, the ABS and traction control going haywire was the big clue. Ultimately, it needed a new control unit. Considering the cost, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop for a thorough diagnostic, just to be sure.

Sounds familiar. I have a Trax, too, and had similar issues. Was your speedometer acting erratically? Did you notice any problems with the transmission shifting, or any other warning lights on the dashboard?
