Trax AC failure

Greetings. The symptoms you describe certainly point to a malfunction within the air conditioning system. The fact that it doesn't switch on at all eliminates some possibilities. Thanks for the quick reply! No strange noises that I can recall, and I haven't had the refrigerant checked recently. I couldn't smell any refrigerant leaks either. As for the temperature control, I can switch it to hot, and hot air comes out, so that seems to be working fine. But when I switch it to cold (with the AC button on) nothing happens – still just warm air. Any thoughts?

Given the additional information, it is probable that the issue lies with the individual valves within the air conditioning system itself. It sounds like the compressor is not engaging. Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on. Turns out there was a defect within the valves in the air conditioning system, like you said. Cost me around 1000€ to get it fixed, but at least now I have a working AC again. Really appreciate the guidance!
