Trax Central Locking Failure
Summary of the thread
The central locking system on a 2016 Chevrolet Trax diesel stopped working, with both the key fob and inside button failing to operate. An OBD reader indicated a locking system error, but fuses were intact. A possible cause suggested was a defective cable or connection, specifically in the wiring harness of the driver's side door. Upon professional inspection, a broken wire was found and repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks. Which door on your Trax? Was it visibly damaged, or did you need a multimeter?

It was the driver's side door. I didn't diagnose it myself, I took it to a workshop. They found the broken wire quickly. Might be worth a professional check.

Thanks. Shop found a broken wire in the door harness, just like you said. They repaired it, and the central locking works again. Cost 95€, appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my Trax. Have you checked the wiring harness that goes into the door? Those can sometimes get damaged.
