Trax exhaust leak and NOx catalyst issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Chevrolet Trax exhibited a check engine light and an error code indicating NOx storage catalyst aging, accompanied by an exhaust leak. The core problem was suspected to be a hole in the exhaust system. A similar issue was resolved by checking exhaust connections, particularly near joints, for rust or damage. The suggested solution was to have a workshop inspect the exhaust system, as leaks could affect other sensors. The issue was confirmed to be an exhaust leak, which was subsequently repaired.

Thanks! Any idea where the exhaust leak was on yours, or anything I should look for to find it?

Mine was a rusted flange near a joint in the exhaust pipe. I'd check all the exhaust connections really well. But to be safe, I'd get a workshop to check all the readings. The leak could be affecting other sensors.

Thanks for the advice! I got it checked out, and it was a leak in the exhaust system. Cost 265€ to fix.

I had something similar happen with my Trax. Check engine light, error codes... the works. It turned out to be an exhaust leak messing up the NOx catalyst. Can you tell if the leak is before or after the catalyst?
