Trouble Reading OBD2 Codes with Carly on Volvo XC70
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Volvo XC70 owner is experiencing difficulty reading and clearing OBD2 codes using the Carly app, as there seems to be no visible command or UI control for this function. The issue may be due to outdated software or compatibility problems with the Carly app and adapter. It is suggested to update both the app and adapter to the latest versions or try using a different OBD2 scanner to resolve the problem.

Ensure that your Carly app and adapter are both updated to the latest version, as updates often include new features and bug fixes. If the issue persists, try using a different OBD2 scanner to read and clear the codes. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
Hmmm... both the app and the adapter are fully updated. So, by your admission, you don't support viewing stored codes. How did that feature not make the list of required features? Please, pass this lack of a feature on to your marketing people. When they add this feature, please insure that users can also erase stored codes too. So, I spent all this money on your app and the adapter only to have an insufficient feature set. You say to use another code reader, which is terrible admission of inadequacy about your own product. I have a 12-year-old code reader with firmware that got its last update eight years ago, but it can read and clear stored codes. Why can't Carly? Really, why not?

If Carly isn't meeting your needs, I recommend trying a different OBD2 scanner that you know supports reading and clearing codes. Many auto parts stores offer free code reading services, which might be a quick solution. Once you have the codes, you can address the specific issues indicated. Let me know if you need help interpreting the codes or have any further questions!
