Trouble Starting 2021 Seat Tarraco Hybrid: Possible Vehicle Lock Issue

Hey folks, I've got a problem with my 2021 Seat Tarraco hybrid that's making me lose some sleep. Here's the deal: my car won't start and even if it does, it promptly dies off. I drove around 182780 KM till now. I'm suspecting this could be some vehicle lock issue. Anyone around here ever face anything similar? I'm really keen to hear your experiences with a mechanic who fixed this without giving you nightmares. Thanks in advance!

Hey there, Sounds like what happened last month with my 2018 Seat Arona. The culprits were my car keys, or to be precise, the key programming was off. Our symptoms match. My beast wouldn't start either, or if it did, it was out cold in no time. After a good amount of head scratching, my mechanic finally figured that the security system was picking up incorrect codes from my key - causing the car to shutdown as a safety measure. It is not really a rare issue, just your keys and your car aren't talking like they should. My mechanic had to reprogram the keys, sync it up with the car, and it was back to being its own self again. Hope this helps. Check the key programming on your set. It isn't scary as it would initially seem. Good luck!

Hey there, Wow, so it was a key issue for you? That's interesting. My 2020 Seat Tarraco has been acting up lately in a similar way. Honestly, it's been a bit of a headache. Your situation sounds awfully familiar. So how much did it set you back to get this whole key reprogramming thing sorted out? My budget's a bit tight and I'm just trying to gauge what I'm looking at. And has everything been running smoothly ever since? No recurring issues or anything, right? Thanks heaps! Looking forward to hearing more about your experience.

Hey, Yep, you got it spot on, it was indeed a key issue. And let me tell you - since the mechanic sorted it out, my Seat Arona has been running like a charm, no kidding. After the key programming was corrected, that weird vehicle lock malfunction was totally gone. No unpleasant surprises or anything, just smooth sailing. About the cost, it wasn't as bad as I initially thought it'd be. Got away with just a 45€ bill. So, not too heavy on the pocket really. Looks like your 2020 Seat Tarraco might be having a similar problem. So, don’t lose much sleep over it. It's an easily fixable thing and doesn't usually cause any recurring issues, at least in my case. Hope that helps out. Best of luck with your fix, Cheers!

Hey, Firstly, a huge relief to hear that it's an easily fixable thing. My wallet is certainly thankful, that cost is quite manageable. It's also really good to know that the fix sorted everything out for you – no recurring nightmares. So, a huge thanks to you for sharing your experience, really helped easing my anxiety regarding this lock problem. I’ll make sure to bring up the key programming with my mechanic. Hoping my ride’s story ends up exactly like yours. Thanks again, and smooth driving to you, Cheers!
