Hey, anyone experienced issues with their 2015 Fiat Tipo Gasoline engine not starting up? Suspecting it might be a problem with the parking heater but not too sure. Any tips on troubleshooting? And if you've faced this and got it fixed, could you share how your workshop sorted it out? Love to hear all about your experiences. Thanks!

Hey, had a similar problem with my 2013 Fiat Linea. My knowledge about cars is on a low level, but, figured it out eventually. Initially, I thought it was the battery, but the garage guy diagnosed it as a defective glow plug. The repair set me back 560€, but it got the job done. Just curious, when did you last replace your glow plugs or have your car serviced? More info about your vehicle might help provide a better suggestion. Hope this is of some use!

Hiya! Appreciate your input. My Tipo got its last service at 75967 km, and as far as I recall, glow plugs weren't replaced. With your experience, I'm starting to think it could be a similar case. Never thought a small thing like the glow plug could cost that much! By the looks of it, seems like my wallet will be lighter soon, haha. Cheers for the help!

No problem at all! I was just as surprised as you are about the cost. Funny thing about cars, tiny parts can sometimes cost an arm and a leg. But hey, as long you get your vehicle back on the road, it's all worth it! Just a small heads up, if the glow plugs are the culprit, you might experience hard starts, especially in cold conditions and possibly even some smoke from the exhaust. Can't be sure until a professional checks it out. So, best to have it look at ASAP. And one more thing, it's not always about the age or mileage of the vehicle, glow plugs can wear out for a variety of reasons - incomplete combustion, carbon buildup, or even engine misfires. So keep that in mind for future reference. Keep us posted on how it goes. Fingers crossed that it's nothing too serious! Cheers!

Cheers! Yeah, it's a pain how these little pieces run the show. Noticed some smoke recently, now it all seems to add up. Also, thanks for that bit on what could wear the plugs out, those tips will come in handy. Will get the car checked immediately. Fingers crossed it's not going to leave a hole in my pocket. Thanks again for the invaluable advice, will update you once it's sorted. Cheers to you too!
