Hey there! Thanks a ton for your advice, you might've just solved my mystery. Definitely have my eye on that ignition switch now. My Arkana has been pretty reliable till now, it's been a smooth journey of 121694 km, touch wood. Had my last service a while back, nothing cropped up then. Never had any trouble like this before and yeah, fingers crossed it's the ignition switch as you said. Going to take her to the dealership tomorrow, they're usually spot on with these things. Bit bummed about the potential dent to my wallet but if that sorts it out, I suppose it's worth it. I'll keep you posted! Thanks again. Cheers!

Hey, Glad to hear you found the advice useful. Life with cars, it's all fun and games until one of these warning lights pops up, isn't it? And 121694 km, your Arkana has had a good run indeed! Visiting the dealership is definitely a good move. They'll have the diagnostic tools to pinpoint the issue quickly. Don't forget to ask them to check some common areas too, including the overall integrity of the wiring system - sometimes it's as simple as a loose plug. As for the cost, look at it as an investment. Getting the car up and running properly, safely, and reliably is definitely worth a few extra bucks. If it is indeed the ignition switch as we suspect, trust me, you'll feel the difference in your Arkana's performance once it's replaced. Do let us know how it goes at the dealership tomorrow. Don't worry, you're gonna sort this out. Keep us posted, and safe driving till then. Cheers!

Hey, Absolutely, it's a love-hate relationship with these machines, ain't it? But yeah, 121694 km and still counting. I'll be sure to ask the guys at the dealership to give the entire system a once-over including the wiring. You're absolutely right about the cost vs benefit thing, nothing's worth more than peace of mind. Your words are definitely reassuring. Will keep all your advice in mind and will update you on how it goes. Here's to hoping it's just the ignition switch and nothing serious. Thanks again and catch you later! Cheers!

Hey, Funny you should mention that. I had exactly the same problem with my 2018 Renault Captur Crossover, very similar model to yours. As for my car knowledge, I'd say I have some experience. I'm no mechanic, but I've been under the hood a few times. I had to take my Captur to a local garage with a good reputation. Turns out it was the ignition switch. Apparently, the Insertion slot was defective which was wreaking havoc with the car's starting system and security features. Cost me a pretty penny, around 290 euro to get it replaced, but the car's been running smoothly since then. If you could tell me a bit more about your car, like engine model or if you've ever had similar issues before, it might help me give you a bit more detailed advice. But, if I were you, I'd start with getting that ignition switch checked out. Hope this helps! Safe driving.
