Troubleshooting 2021 Nissan Quest: Dealing with Potential Transport Mode Issues
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Nissan Quest is experiencing issues with certain functions not working and a warning light appearing on the speedometer, possibly indicating a fault stored in the system. The owner suspects the vehicle might be in transport mode, which can disable some functions. A similar issue was resolved for another Nissan owner by visiting a garage, where the transport mode was deactivated. The suggested solution is to take the vehicle to a garage for a diagnostic check to identify and resolve the issue, likely related to the Check Engine Light.

Appreciate your help! Doesn't look like transport mode is something that happens too often, glad to hear yours got sorted. My Quest currently has 136787 KM on the clock. Fun fact, nothing unusual happened before, it was quite normal. The warning light looks kinda like an engine, never seen it before on my dash. I'll probably follow your lead and get it checked out at a local garage too. Peace of mind is indeed priceless. Cheers for the advice!

Hey there, glad to pitch in! Sounds like we're quite on the same boat, just a couple Nissan owners figuring things out. The 'engine' icon flashing on your dashboard is likely the Check Engine Light (CEL). That can pop up for a gazillion different reasons - from a simple loose gas cap to something more serious. My guess is it has something to do with the transport mode being active, similar to my Rogue. You're definitely cycling in the right direction thinking about heading to a garage. These guys are pros, they'll hook your Quest up to a diagnostic machine, which will call out the fault code. That should tell you what's going wrong and how severe it is. Keep us updated! Hope your ride gets back to its top form soon. Be safe! Cheers!

Hey, thanks a ton for the good vibes and the advice! I feel a lot more hopeful, we definitely are in this car-figuring journey together. That Check Engine Light guess sounds spot on, never even considered that. Just to update you, I've booked an appointment at a local garage first thing tomorrow. Eager to have a pro take a look and run that diagnostic. A little bit worried about that "gazillion reasons" part, but fingers crossed it's nothing too severe. Will definitely keep you posted, this way we can both learn a bit more about our vehicles. Thanks again! Drive safe, too! Cheers!

Hey, I get where you're coming from. I've got a similar experience with my own 2019 Nissan Rogue. My car expertise is kinda low, but I learned a thing or two along the way. So, my ride also began acting up after a jump start, same as yours. Took it down to my local garage, and they managed to sort everything out for me. Turned out, some functions were indeed disabled due to the transport mode issue you mentioned. Shelled out about 45 Euro to get it back to normal. A small price to pay for the peace of mind, if you ask me. Could you give some more info about your Quest? Mileage, specific warning light, anything unusual before the jump start? I could try to help you out more. Cheers!
