Troubleshooting Heated Window Fault in 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid owner is experiencing issues with non-functional heated windows and a fault message. A possible cause suggested is a weak vehicle battery, which might not be holding a charge, affecting the rear window heating. The recommended solution is to have the battery checked and potentially replaced, as this resolved similar issues for another Renault owner.

Hey, cheers for the insight. Makes a lot of sense, considering the symptoms I got. I didn't think about factoring in the battery into this, but it could be possible. Gives me a direction to look into before hitting the mechanic's again. Remember by any chance how much coin you had to drop for that battery replacement and if anything else has cropped up since then?

Hey, glad to help. Since my trip to the mechanic, the rear window heating has been working without a hitch. They nailed it right on the head. As for the battery fix, that put me back by about 290€. It was a tad steep, I'll not lie. But then again, getting rid of those glitches and having the peace of mind was totally worth it, I reckon. Interestingly, no new issues have popped up since then. The car's been humming along nicely. Hope your experience mirrors mine!

Thanks! You've definitely given me less of a headache now. Quite an unexpected solution but makes complete sense. 290€ does sound a bit pricey, but the peace of mind you mentioned sounds worth it. I don't want to be left out in the cold with a bummed out heater. I'll get the battery checked and hopefully, it solves my problems too. Enjoy your glitch free rides, while I brace myself for a date with the mechanic. Wish me luck!

Hey there, I've got a 2018 Renault Captur myself, not far off from your model. Faced similar issues last year. Sounded like you're having some battery issues, my guess is it might not be holding charge anymore. These symptoms you're saying remind me of my car garage visit. They found the vehicle battery was weak, couldn't produce enough jolt. Got my heated windows acting all weird and got similar faults popping up on the dashboard. So they ended up replacing the battery and everything's been peachy since. It was a bit of a pain, but not catastrophic I'd say. Your best bet would be to get your battery checked out. Might solve the heating issue as well. Clear as mud? Hope it helps.
