Troubleshooting the Heating/Cooling System and Blower Issues in 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid

Insufficient Cooling/Heating

Blower does not work properly

Hey everyone, I've been having some weird issues with my 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid lately. The heating/cooling system isn't delivering as it should, plus the blower is acting up. I’m suspicious it's related to the electric auxiliary heater not functioning correctly. Has anyone experienced something similar and found a solution? Would love to hear your workshop experiences regarding this issue. Any insights or tips would be much appreciated!

Hey there, I had a very similar issue with my 2020 Renault Kadjar. Just some experience with cars here, and it does sound like an electric auxiliary heater problem. I also experienced the crazy blower drama! I took my car to a local workshop - they were great by the way. They diagnosed the problem and yep, my suspicions were right, it was my electric auxiliary heater messing up the whole system. The fix set me back about 350 euro. Could you share more info about your Arkana's symptoms? That might help me give more detailed advice. Let's figure this out.

Hey, Nice to hear from someone who had a similar issue and managed to solve it successfully. I loved your sense of car diagnosis. So, about my Arkana, it primarily struggles on sudden temperature shifts. The heater cools down too quickly and the AC won't cool effectively on hotter days. Interestingly, during consistent weather, the system seems to work okay-ish. Also, regarding the blower, it seems super unpredictable. It'll blow at top speed randomly, even when set on low, or won't blow substantial air when cranked up. And yes, touching on the car's history, I've covered 193293 km so far and it was last serviced about six months ago, if that helps. Hoping this info sheds more light on what could be going wrong. Cheers!

Howdy again, I'll be honest, your issue sounds very similar to mine. Same tricky blower, same weird heating/cooling behavior. With that kind of mileage, it's quite possible that some components have started wearing out, especially something like the electric auxiliary heater. So, in my case, the repair shop replaced the auxiliary heater and did a system reset. The blower erratic behavior was resolved as well with this fix because the heater also controls the blower motor in our models, that's what my technician explained. Between you and me, I'd advise you to get that heater checked ASAP. The chilly weather's coming up and you don't want to find yourself without heat. And given your description, I’d say around 300-400 euro would be a ballpark for possible expenses. Keep us posted! We're all in this together. Good luck!

Cheers for the advice! Your insights have really put my mind at ease. Looks like a trip to the repair shop is in order for my Arkana, fingers crossed it's just the heater acting up. I'll be sure to mention your explanation to the technician when I take it in. Correct about the incoming chilly weather, can't risk being without proper heating! I'll brace for that estimated expense, but the comfort is definitely worth it. I'm already grateful for the help, and I will surely update on how everything goes. Lovely to have such a knowledgeable and supportive community. Take care and cheers again!
