Troubleshooting with activated transport mode in the Mercedes CLK Class Diesel 2022

Fault stored

Some functions in the vehicle are not available

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hi folks, my Mercedes CLK Class Diesel built in 2022 has been acting up recently. Some functions are not available, an error is stored and the warning light in the speedometer is also illuminated. I suspect that the transport mode is active in the vehicle. Do any of you have experience with this problem and can give me some troubleshooting tips? How did you get this problem fixed in the workshop and what were your experiences? I appreciate any help!

Hello, I'm not a car professional, but I do have a bit of experience. I had a similar problem with my Mercedes E-Class model 20. I sought help from a garage where the car was checked. It turned out that the car had to be jump-started. It was a quick and easy solution and only cost 45 euros. But without knowing exactly what's wrong with your car, it's difficult to give you accurate advice. Can you give more info about the symptoms and fault codes? That would definitely help to know what might be wrong with your CLK Class Diesel.

Thanks for your advice! Yes, I should probably give more details. Unfortunately I don't know much about cars and their fault codes, but I can say that the warning light comes on whenever I start the car. And sometimes it goes off by itself after a while, even if I don't really do anything. Before this problem occurred, my last service was at 70575 km. I have always been careful to do all maintenance on time. Well, I'll take your advice and take the car to the garage. Hopefully it's nothing serious and they can fix it quickly and easily. Do you have a particular garage you could recommend?

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help! It definitely sounds like it would be a good idea to have the car checked by a professional. For me, the best garage has always been the Mercedes-Benz dealership in my town, they've always done good work and the prices have been fair. But when you say the warning light sometimes goes off by itself, it could just be the sensors that have a small fault. It could also be something to do with the battery or, as you've already guessed, the transport mode could be activated. Sometimes loose connections can also cause this kind of problem. Nevertheless, it is better to have an experienced mechanic take a look. And please don't worry, these things happen and are usually not major problems. Good luck and let us know what comes of it!

Thank you for your detailed reply and your recommendation! It reassures me that it's probably nothing serious. I will definitely visit a garage and have it checked. Maybe it really is just the sensor or the battery. Thank you again for your help and I'll keep you updated as soon as I know anything new. Have a nice day and see you soon!
