Thanks! No, I haven't checked the sensor readings yet. I've got a basic OBD2 scanner, but I'm not sure which parameters to look at. Any hints on which sensor is causing this?

From what you are describing, I would say it is the exhaust back pressure sensor for sure. That was the culprit in my case as well. I’d recommend getting it checked out at a workshop. If that's the faulty part, better get it replaced before more serious issues arise.

Thanks a bunch! I took it to the local shop, and you were spot on – the exhaust back pressure sensor was indeed defective. I replaced it, cost me around 245€ including labor, and the Tucson is running like a champ again. Really appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had almost the exact same symptoms on my Tucson a while back: warning light, power loss, the whole shebang. I initially suspected a blocked DPF and even tried forcing a regeneration cycle a couple of times, but the problem kept coming back. Have you checked the sensor readings with an OBD2 scanner?
