Thanks for the quick reply! I do have an error code stored. Does this confirm the exhaust flaps are defective? I'm not very familiar with these exhaust components. Should I be looking at exhaust repair myself?

Well, an error code definitely points towards something being wrong! If you're not comfortable poking around yourself, I'd really recommend taking it to a workshop. When my exhaust flaps went, it was a similar story. They will likely need replacing. It cost me around 190€ for the repair.

Appreciate the insight! I'll take it to a mechanic. I was quoted 190€ for the exhaust repair as well, so at least I know what to expect. Thanks again!

Hey! I also drive a Tucson (though not the hybrid). Your symptoms sound very familiar. It could indeed be the exhaust flaps. I'd check those exhaust components. Are you getting any specific error codes? It would help in figuring out the failing exhaust valves, and whether it's the flap actuator.
