Tucson Hybrid mixture preparation error
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid experienced a mixture preparation error, leading to reduced engine power, check engine light, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and occasional stalling. Initial diagnostics pointed to a defective injection valve/injector as the cause. Suggestions included checking the throttle body and air-fuel ratio, but the issue was confirmed to be a defective fuel injector, which was replaced, resolving the problem.

Thank you for the suggestion. Could a malfunctioning throttle body directly trigger the error code related to the fuel mixture, considering the hybrid system's complexity?

Well, on my older Sonata, a dirty throttle body messed with the air intake, which definitely threw off the fuel mixture and lit up the check engine light. Maybe with the hybrid system it's even more sensitive? Honestly, at that mileage and with those symptoms, it might be worth getting it checked by a workshop to be sure. A defective injector sounds expensive!

Acknowledged. Your input is appreciated. The issue was indeed a defective fuel injector, as initially suspected. Repair cost was 515€. The vehicle is now running smoothly. Thank you.

Hey, that sounds rough. I had similar jerking issues with my older Sonata when the throttle body was gunked up. Did you check the air-fuel ratio or intake manifold at all? Just throwing ideas out there.
