Tucson seat heater malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Hyundai Tucson's seat heater is malfunctioning, with the seat not warming and an error stored in the memory. The issue is suspected to be with the seat heating mat. A suggestion is made to check for loose wires under the seat, particularly focusing on the thicker wires connected to the seat cushion. Ultimately, the problem is confirmed to be with the heating mat, which is resolved by taking the vehicle to a workshop for repair.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly under the seat should I be looking? And how can I tell if the wire is loose?

Okay, so crawl under there and you'll see a bunch of wires connected to the seat. The heating element wires are usually thicker and run directly to the seat cushion. Give them a wiggle. If nothing seems obvious, honestly, it's probably the heating mat itself. I ended up just taking mine to a workshop. Best decision ever!

Thanks! I took it to the workshop. It was indeed the heating mat. Cost me 390€ to fix. Appreciate the help!

Hey! I had a similar problem with my Tucson. Drove me nuts! Was the error code pointing to the thermal sensor or the heating element itself? Check the connection under the seat first – could just be a loose wire. Seriously, it happened to me!
