I inspected the wiring harness for any signs of wear or damage. Since you suspect it's the cable or plug, it would be most efficient to check the voltage. If the wiring isn't the issue, schedule an appointment with a certified technician; the repair totalled 95€.

I have a Tundra, and I had a similar problem that turned out to be a defective cabin air sensor. Have you checked the wiring and the plug connection to the sensor?
