Tundra height control malfunction

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2022 Tundra Hybrid. At about 106970 kilometers, a warning light came on for the height control system. Now the low beams seem off, the truck looks uneven, and the ride is bumpy. The diagnostics show an error. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds like a ride height control system problem. The uneven stance, warning light, and error code point to a height sensor issue. Have you checked the control rods that connect the sensors to the suspension? A bad control rod could cause this. Are the sensors reporting data to the ECU?

Thanks for the quick reply. I looked at the control rods and didn't see anything obvious, but I'll check again more closely. Could a small problem with a control rod really cause all these issues? What else can I check before taking it to a mechanic?

Yes, even a slight issue with a control rod can mess up the sensor's height information to the ECU. I'd suggest a close look at the sensor linkages and wiring. But, this system can be complex, so a qualified technician might be best for a diagnosis. You might fix it yourself, but consider the possible damage if you work on the system yourself. It's best to have it inspected at a certified workshop.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a shop, and it turned out to be a bad control rod on one of the sensors, just like you said. Replacement cost 110€ including labor. System works great now. Thanks again!
