Tundra Solar Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Toyota Tundra owner experienced a solar sensor fault and low heating output. The issue was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with others who had similar problems, the owner had the vehicle checked at a garage, where a faulty connector was replaced, resolving the heating issue.

Good shout! Where is the ambient temperature sensor located? I will check it when I have time.

I'm not sure where it is exactly located, but the workshop guys sorted it out for me quickly. It was a faulty connection that was causing the issue.

Thanks for the tip! Got it sorted at my local garage. It was indeed the solar sensor – the mechanic replaced a defective connector, and the heating's back to normal. Cost me 95€.

I had something similar with my Tundra. Heating was weak and there was a sensor error. Was your ambient temperature sensor working?
