Twingo ABS speed signal fault
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Renault Twingo is experiencing a speed signal fault, with the ABS lamp constantly lit and traction control malfunctioning, indicating a potential issue with the ABS system. Despite the odometer functioning correctly, the problem may lie in a defective ABS control unit. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by replacing the ABS module, suggesting that a professional diagnosis and repair at a workshop is advisable.

Interesting. Was the fix straightforward? Any chance it was a sensor issue rather than the module itself?

Nah, sensors were fine on mine. Garage confirmed it was the module. Bit like a dodgy hard drive in a computer, the brain of the system goes haywire. Best get it checked out properly at a workshop to be sure, though.

Appreciated. Garage has confirmed it's the ABS control unit. Quoted 1000€ for repair/replacement. Ouch.

Sounds familiar! Had similar gremlins in my old Peugeot 207. Speedo was fine, but ABS was having a party. In my case it was the ABS module playing up.
