Twingo central locking failure

I'm having an issue with my 2017 Renault Twingo (gasoline engine). The central locking has completely stopped working. I can no longer lock or unlock the doors using the key fob or the interior button. I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. The car has done 187647 km. I even plugged it into a diagnostics tool and it's showing an error related to the central locking system. I suspect it could be a defective cable or plug connection, but I'm not sure where to start looking. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Sounds like a real pain. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa a few years back. The central locking went haywire. Turns out, it was a broken wire in the door loom – the bundle of wires that runs between the car's body and the door. Check those connections, especially where the wires flex every time you open and close the door. Did the error message give you any specific codes?

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely check the door loom. The error code was a generic one indicating a fault in the central locking circuit, nothing specific. Is there a way to test the wires without having to take the whole door apart?

Unfortunately, without a proper multimeter, it's tricky to properly test the wires while they're still connected. Honestly, based on my experience and the generic error code, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They'll have the right tools and know where to look. It'll save you a lot of time and potential headaches.

Thanks a lot for your help and the Corsa analogy! I took it to a local garage. They confirmed it was a faulty connector in the door loom, just as suspected. Repair cost me 95€. Now the locking mechanism works flawlessly again.
