Twingo Electric Overvoltage Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Twingo Electric is experiencing an overvoltage fault, leading to system failures and a weak battery when starting. The issue may stem from a deeply discharged or defective battery, causing the system to overcompensate. A possible solution is to replace the battery, as a similar case was resolved by doing so. It is advised to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop to confirm the diagnosis and address the electrical malfunction.

Yes, there have been instances where the battery was nearly completely drained. Could this be the core of the problem? Also, do you remember the repair cost?

A deeply discharged or defective battery can cause overvoltage issues when the system tries to compensate. The car might be trying too hard to charge a failing battery. I had to replace the battery, and it cost 290€. I recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out properly though.

Thanks for the insight. I will consider your experiences and bring the Twingo to a workshop for a thorough inspection of the car battery and electrical system. I will share the resolution after the repair.

Hey, I also have a Twingo. I had something similar happen a while back. Lots of weird electrical stuff going haywire and overvoltage warnings. Was the battery heavily discharged at any point?
