Twingo engine misfire
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Twingo is experiencing engine misfires, uneven running, and jerking during acceleration, with the check engine light on. Possible causes include issues with the crankshaft sensor, ignition coil, timing belt, fuel pump, or an exhaust leak. A similar case was resolved by addressing an exhaust manifold leak, suggesting a professional diagnosis is advisable.

Thanks! I haven't listened specifically for exhaust noises, but I will. Was the exhaust leak definitely the cause of your misfire and jerking? How did you diagnose it?

I'm no mechanic! I took mine straight to a workshop. The mechanic said it was a leak in the exhaust manifold. I'd get it checked out professionally.

Thanks for sharing! I'll book an appointment with my mechanic. Estimate is around 265€. Hopefully it's a simple fix.

I've got a Twingo too (can't remember the year). I had similar misfire and jerking issues. Any weird noises from the exhaust? A leak could mess with the air-fuel mixture and cause those problems.
