Twingo Engine Misfires and Jerking
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Twingo is experiencing rough running, a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, and reduced power, with diagnostics indicating combustion misfires. A possible cause could be a defective fuel injector, as similar symptoms were resolved by replacing a faulty injector. It is recommended to have the vehicle checked by a professional mechanic to confirm the diagnosis and address the issue effectively.

I haven't specifically evaluated the throttle response, but I'll add it to my list. Were your symptoms identical, particularly the jerking and power loss? Did the check engine light come on?

Yes, the symptoms were almost exactly the same. The jerking was especially noticeable at lower speeds, and the check engine light was definitely on. I’d advise getting it checked out by a professional mechanic. It's tough to diagnose these things definitively without the right tools.

I appreciate the advice. I'll schedule an appointment with a reputable workshop to diagnose the issue. It was indeed a defective fuel injector, and the repair cost 515€.

I own a Twingo and had similar symptoms recently: rough running, check engine light, the whole shebang. It turned out to be a faulty fuel injector. Have you checked the throttle response? A bad injector can really mess that up.
