Thanks! I hadn't considered the charcoal filter. Where is that located on the Twingo? And can I test it before replacing it? Could a faulty pressure sensor cause similar problems? I'm trying to avoid just replacing parts.

The activated charcoal filter is often near the fuel tank or in the engine compartment. Check the vehicle's repair manual for the exact location. Testing often requires specialized equipment. A faulty pressure sensor could also contribute, though a defective activated charcoal filter is more probable. I advise a workshop visit.

The charcoal filter was the problem! A local shop confirmed it was defective. A new filter fixed the stalling, and the check engine light is gone. The total repair cost was 275€. Thanks for the help!

I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 208 diesel. The symptoms were nearly identical. Have you checked the activated charcoal filter? A defective filter can cause pressure imbalances in the fuel tank, triggering the engine light and idle issues. Consider the purge valve as well.
