Yes, I visually inspected the hoses. Couldn't spot any cracks. But how did you determine it was definitely the purge valve on your Corsa? Any specific tests you ran?

I didn't have the tools for proper diagnostics, to be honest. My mechanic used a smoke test to find a leak in the emission system, pointing to the valve. Based on my experience, and the cost involved, I suggest a visit to the workshop.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a mechanic, and it was indeed the tank ventilation valve. Hoses were clogged. Repair cost me 175€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. Had similar symptoms on my old Opel Corsa a few years back. Check engine light and idling issues. Was also related to the fuel tank purge valve. Did you check for any obvious cracks or disconnections in the hoses?
