Twingo Fault Codes and Incorrect Vehicle Coding

I'm pulling my hair out here! I've got a 2010 Renault Twingo, diesel engine, and things have gone haywire. My scan tool keeps spitting out a fault code. The infotainment system throws up an error message, and so does the speedometer! It's like a Christmas tree of doom. I am getting seriously frustrated. Could it be the coding or something? Mileage is at 145753 km if that matters.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Twingo. Does the diagnostic scanner point to anything specific? Have you tried to reset the codes through the OBD-II port? It could be a temporary glitch, but repeated errors mean something is definitely up.

Yeah, I tried resetting the codes, but they keep coming back. I think the scanner mentioned something about incorrect vehicle coding. Is that what you had? What did you do to fix it?

Yep, incorrect coding was the culprit. The car basically forgot what it was. I tried a few things myself but ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. It's probably best to get it professionally looked at, especially if the reset isn't working.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I bit the bullet and took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out the vehicle coding was the issue! Cost me 360€, but at least the Christmas tree of doom is gone. Appreciate the help!
