Yeah, I tried resetting the codes, but they keep coming back. I think the scanner mentioned something about incorrect vehicle coding. Is that what you had? What did you do to fix it?

Yep, incorrect coding was the culprit. The car basically forgot what it was. I tried a few things myself but ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. It's probably best to get it professionally looked at, especially if the reset isn't working.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I bit the bullet and took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out the vehicle coding was the issue! Cost me 360€, but at least the Christmas tree of doom is gone. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Twingo. Does the diagnostic scanner point to anything specific? Have you tried to reset the codes through the OBD-II port? It could be a temporary glitch, but repeated errors mean something is definitely up.
