Twingo Headlight Range Control Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Renault Twingo Electric owner reported a faulty headlight range control, causing the low beams to shine improperly and triggering a speedometer warning light. The issue was suspected to be a defective servomotor. Another participant suggested checking the electrical connectors for loose connections or corrosion, as these could also cause problems. Ultimately, the servomotor was replaced, resolving the issue and restoring safe night driving.

Could you tell me where the electrical connectors are? A detailed description or image would help my inspection. What signs should I look for, like corrosion or displacement?

The connectors are at the back of the headlight unit. Pop the hood and remove any plastic covers to get a clear view. Look for anything loose, corroded (green/white powdery stuff), or damaged. With it affecting both headlights and the error code, it sounds like the servomotor or the system that levels the light. Without proper diagnostic equipment, I'd recommend a workshop.

Your servomotor suspicion was right. The repair required replacing the component, costing 1040€. It's resolved, and the car is safe for night driving. Your insights guided me to the right action. Thanks for the help.

Heard about this before. The adaptive headlight system uses sensors to adjust the beam. If a sensor goes bad, gets dirty, or the control module hiccups, it throws everything off. Have you checked the electrical connectors to the headlights? Sometimes a loose connection causes weird problems.
