Thanks for the tip. I'll check the oil color. If it is milky, what's the next step? Any experience with oil additives?

If it's milky, that's head gasket territory. It's like your engine's crying. I'd avoid oil additives and get it checked by a workshop. Better safe than sorry, could save you a lot of money.

Thanks. You were right; took it to the shop, and it was indeed due to an overdue maintenance interval. They changed the oil and oil filter. Cost me 165€. All good now.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Twingo. Check the color of your oil. Is it milky or sludgy? Could be coolant mixing in there, like a milkshake of doom for your engine. Also, any signs of an oil leak?
