Thanks for the suggestion! I did try the 'hold the button' trick, both up and down, but no luck. I also tried disconnecting the battery again for a while, hoping it would reset something, but still nothing. Is there a specific sequence or a longer holding time that worked for you? Or maybe a different method altogether?

Unfortunately, my Corsa needed a trip to the workshop to get the window regulator properly re-initialized with a diagnostic tool. It seems some cars are just a bit sensitive after a power interruption. Given that you've already tried the basic reset procedures, it might be best to have it looked at by a professional.

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I was hoping to avoid a trip to the mechanic, but it sounds like that's the best course of action. I'll book it in and see what they say. It cost me 290€ to get it fixed, but at least the windows are working again!

I had a very similar problem with my old 2012 Opel Corsa after replacing the battery. The window regulator seemed to 'forget' its settings. Did you try any reset procedures? Sometimes holding the window switch in the 'up' position for a few seconds after it's fully closed can reinitialize it. Worth a try before anything else.
