Twingo radar sensor fault

Experiencing issues with my 2008 Renault Twingo diesel. The radar sensor seems dead. An error message is constantly displayed, and the error memory confirms a sensor fault. This is causing failures in various systems and a warning light. I suspect a dirty sensor, but I'm unsure how to proceed. The car has 176500 km. Has anyone else seen something similar?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra a few years back. It wasn't the radar, but an ABS sensor, I think. Same symptoms though: warning lights, error messages... Did you try cleaning the sensor? That sometimes works.

Thanks for the suggestion! Cleaning the sensor is on my list. Do you recall if your Opel exhibited any other unusual behaviors, or if there were specific error codes that pointed directly to the faulty sensor? I'm trying to gather as much information as possible before I start.

Hmm, if I remember correctly, the error code was pretty specific to the ABS sensor. I didn't try cleaning it myself, honestly. Just took it straight to the workshop. They sorted it quickly. It might be worth getting a professional opinion, especially with all those systems failing.

I took your advice and cleaned the radar sensor. It was quite grimy! The warning lights are gone, and the error message has disappeared. Everything seems to be functioning normally again. Cleaning supplies and my time cost 45€. Thanks a lot for the encouragement!
