Twingo rear window heating issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Twingo owner experienced issues with the rear window heating not working, despite the fuses being fine, and an error code was present. The windshield heating was also underperforming. It was suggested that a discharged or defective battery could be the cause, as low voltage might lead the car to disable non-essential systems. After checking, it was confirmed that the battery was the issue, and replacing it along with a system reset resolved the problem.

That's a good point. I haven't explicitly monitored the battery drain, but now that you mention it, the car struggled slightly more than usual to start a couple of times recently. Is it possible that a weak battery could throw error codes related to the heating elements?

Absolutely, it's possible! Similar thing happened to me, including error codes. I ignored it for too long and ended up needing a new battery AND paying to get the heating system reset. Best to get the battery checked professionally before more problems arise.

Thanks for the insight! I took your advice and brought it to a workshop. Turns out, the battery was indeed the culprit. A new battery and a system reset cost me 290€. Problem solved!

Interesting. I have a Twingo too. Did you notice if your battery was draining faster than usual before this happened? If the voltage drops too low, the car might start shutting down non-essential systems to conserve power. It's a long shot, but worth checking out.
