Interesting! So, when you say dodgy connection, what exactly should I be looking for? Is it just obvious corrosion, or something more subtle? And where exactly is the oil cooler located on the Twingo? I'm not seeing it right away.

Okay, so on my Volvo, the connector pins were green with corrosion – totally obvious. But on the Twingo, it might be less apparent. Look for any signs of damage to the wires themselves – fraying, cracks, anything like that. Also, check if the connector is properly seated and locked in place. As for the oil cooler location, I'm not 100% sure on the Twingo, but it's usually attached to the radiator or very close by. If you're not comfortable poking around, honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it quickly and it'll cost you around 95€.

Thanks a lot for the help! I checked the connections as best I could, but I'm not super confident. I'm going to take it to my local mechanic to get it checked. At least now I can point them in the right direction. Appreciate the advice!

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had a similar problem with my old Volvo C30. Same symptoms – transmission light, rough shifting, the works. Turned out to be a dodgy connection to the oil cooler. Check the wiring and plugs going to your radiator and oil cooler carefully. Could be a corroded or loose connection causing the pressure sensor to freak out. Seriously hope it's just that!
